Web Forwarding lets you attach your domain name to any existing Web site, even
"free host" sites. Traffic that arrives at your domain name (www.yourname.com) is forwarded to an existing Web address specified by you. To alter your web
forwarding configuration simply login to your control panel and set the changes. We currently offer two types of
web forwarding. URL Redirection Requests to your web site are
redirected to the address you entered in the web forwarding section of your control panel. The address shown in the title
bar of the browser will change to the website address when your web site is visited. i.e: www.yourname.com will be directed to www.yourISP.somewhere.com/yourpage.htm and your visitors will see the website address change in the
address bar. URL Masking A frames page is placed at your domain name with
the source set to the address you enter in the page you want to forward your visitors to. The address shown in the title bar
of your browser will not change when your web site is visited. The real location of the web site is masked from the visitor.
With this option you can also set the values to be displayed in the head tags of the frames page by entering them in the
appropriate text field. So when your visitors type in your website address www.yourname.com
they will see www.yourname.com in the address bar, hiding the fact that you are using a
redirection service. NOTE: We do not place any pop-up banners or adverts
on your web forwarding pages whatsoever. All Domain Name forwarding accounts with Dedicated-Domains are banner free. |
